SUBCONSCIOUS SYMBOLS
The language of the unconscious is symbolic. Sometimes when I am in the flow of making art, something wants to be expressed immediately. It pushes everything else aside, like a bully in a crowd bulldozing the way to the front.
This was the case with these 3 symbolic paintings. I dropped everything, got the 3 canvases, reds and blues and boom! There they were!
They are watery and mysterious. There is deep meaning but it communicates beyond rational understanding. Fountains, treasures, emotions, entrances, horizons…
